Data from the ⁠CAIN Archive at Ulster University (Conflict Archive on the INternet) attributes 1,840 civilian deaths during The Troubles. By perpetrator, the responsible groups for these civilian deaths break down as follows:

• Loyalist paramilitaries: ~48%
• Republican paramilitaries: ~39%
• British Security Forces: ~10%
• Other / Unknown / Unattributed: ~3%

They were alas terrible times and are thankfully now over, and have been for nearly 30 years.

Picking at the scab on a daily basis in an effort to demonise one political party in Ireland while giving carte blanche to others who had similar histories, or aided and abetted the violence of the Troubles isn't big or clever, but it does help the shills score selective historical political points, which are lapped up by the usual suspects here.
