There is a report that the Sinn Fein candidate in galway cannot partake in an Irish debate.
MLMD said he would participate.
Really unfair situation as English is the spoken language gauge here ( finnbar o shea).
In fairness to the candidate his parents may not have had the money to send him to the Gaelteacht.
Can MON participate in irish language debates ?

Presumably he grew up in Galway and had access to a lot more native Irish speakers than say, down here in Cork ? Having a walk around Galway yesterday there were a lot more signs in Irish than I've seen in any other city in the Republic.... could be just for the tourists though ?
