Sinn Fein are not a Normal Political Party

Is this not the controversy? They could have been going to Gibraltar on a shopping trip for all we know, on the day. Aren't the British army supposed to have been on some kind of moral high ground? They could have arrested them if they wanted to. But.... live by the sword, die by the sword etc.... I agree with a poster above. You can't cry foul if you then go and blow up a cafe or shoot a postman in the back of the head.
 
I have to say very well worded by the Irish Independent:

For McDonald to profess dismay over the deaths of innocents thousands of miles away while honouring IRA members who murdered civilians a hundred miles up the road in Belfast may be grimly ironic, but snubbing Donald Trump would probably prove popular with voters. At first. Public opinion could quickly shift if negative consequences were to follow.

Long story short if you're dealing with people who are in the business of indiscriminate bombing you're going to shoot first and ask questions later.

Who knows how many lives would have been lost if these scumbags had been able to finish their deadly task.
