That's Ironic, when not so long ago they were supporting their terrorist brethren who caused havoc in the country robbing banks, cash in transit trucks etc, all for " the cause "

I agree it is up to the people of the north to decide. Would you accept if they voted for a UI?
FF FG are nobody to take the moral high ground. The SDLP did take the moral high ground and reject violence. They’d get my vote.
I never said I didn’t have respect for people in NI who feel British. I said a lot of them rammed it down the throats of the minority for a good fifty years.

@Lee Bushwacker I am Irish, and anti monarchy therefore could be considered a republican. (I am not a "let's storm their castles and burn them out" type though). Am I also "republican scum"? (according to some posters on this thread). Are English republicans/anti monarchists also "republican scum"?

The Republican campaign of terror in Northern Ireland was wrong, and should never have happened. The peaceful campaign of John Hume and Seamus Mallon was the correct path for all nationalists in Northern Ireland. There was never a justification for the taking of human life in Northern Ireland.
