Sinn Féin launch petition for north-south Cork Luas route
"If we are talking in the medium term, then it seems crazy not to put in place any provision for a north-south route," Cork South Central TD ...www.echolive.ie
Don't think running a Luas up to Knocka would be a runner tbh, but from Douglas in say in the South Douglas Rd near Turners Cross/Musgrave Park and taking in St Finbarr's Hospital, and South Infirmary before crossing the river past the Railway Station and on down towards Glanmire does make sense if they're serious about a proper Luas system in Cork - but the Cluas isn't going to happen in 20+ years imho. A spur up to the Airport would be desirable but again with the hill I don't think it feasible.
