Sinn Fein are not a Normal Political Party

Pearse on morning ireland earlier slating the programme for govt plan, He said it lacked any bit of ambition, The presenter said there is an ambition for 300000 houses in 5 years, Pearse said that is not enough, The presenter said it is the same amount SF pledged in their election manifesto, The presenter put it to Pearse that in SF manifesto up north there is no housing target ambitions, Pearse was not happy,

Yes he came across pathetic alright, attempting to patronise the presenter with the " you know this " " you know that "

Anyway giving these other dinosaurs fuel is never a good idea;

Oh God he is some Bluffer, he is been payed a TD salary with all the privileges to spew our that sh..t.

All is good with SF ,pearse calls the presenter delusional 🤣 and blames any problems in NI on the Brits , points at the lack of planning of the gov here re Irish Unity. Preaching to his own base but while I'm a proud Irish man and would love someday to see a united Ireland ,wouldn't it be useful if we were joining a part of our country that was united in that view.
NI for all it's progress away from actual conflict is really a very divided society socially and societally. "We are in a forced administration " in NI according to Pearce, well that's what was agreed ,why not try and make the best of it and try to improve people's lives ?.. SF are all about FF FG being self serving and not delivering for the ordinary people, maybe it's time they looked in the mirror and actually did a bit of self analysis ,SF is clearly trying to play both sides and it's pretty clear that the only power SF want is to be in gov of a 32 county ireland . It's not in their interest to make NI prosper and you'd have to doubt their bona fides in the Republic too .

Last weekend on BBC show on NI politics somebody said for all the posing for photos and sound bytes by Michelle and Emma they have achieved nothing
in the 12 months since stormont was reopened to much fanfare, Both are afraid to make the unpopular decisions and blame westminster,
An ad popped up on my feed recently from a tour company advertising ours of Belfast including the peace walls, These people dont want the walls to come down, Money to be made,

Belfast is a shithole anyway.

I was up a few years ago ,did family trip along the antrim coast ,beautiful part of the country .always loved the song Carrickfergus but found it a very unwelcome place ,probably a bit of a vibe as it was coming close to July 12.
We did that black cab tour ,interesting to do but it's like a time warp in truth up there. Peace walls in a modern city dividing people along what is basically a sectarian divide.
I'm sure people from either side have to and do work alongside each other in Belfast and then go home to their divided communities.
1998 and the GFA is a long time ago,we asked the taxi tour guide man if he thought the walls would ever come down,he said they won't in his lifetime ,says there is no trust and no real desire on either side of political divide to make things work up there for the common good. Said perversely he was making a living out of it ,ie the Troubles history but you could also hear the despair and lack of hope for a better future.
A depressing outlook really ,having said that but we did enjoy Belfast as a city .
