Sinn Fein are not a Normal Political Party ??

Fair point - never heard Tommy ask that tracker holders paying close to nothing in interest for guts of a decade make a contribution to help out the hard pressed renters he used to be worried about!!
It is a numbers game, SF going back the years called for a 32 county socialist republic, They no longer push for that as they
know it would not be a runner, Where once they campaigned for those on the lower end of the scale they have now broadened it
and are pushing for supports for people with mortgages but with high earnings, and say they will give all renters a months rent back,

A couple on a combined income of 100k plus and happy to rent must be rubbing their hands at SF promise to give them a months rent back
Sorry but we cant all earn 100k a year so What about couples who have a combined income of 50-60k and have seen their mortgage rise 5 times in the last 2 years as well as everything else going up ?

The council should carry out remedial works on damp/mould, But rats dont just appear unless there is a source of food,
i.e rubbish been dumped illegally, His comment that city council dont give a shit was a ridiculous thing to say,
The council themselves admitted more should have been done. You know more than the council do you? Houses being left derelict attracted the rats you idiot. If the house next door to you is derelict, council owned and attracts rats, is that your fault?

These clowns seem to think that everyone starts a job whilst in a relationship, immediately start on great money and none live at home. We have the highest number of young adults still living at home with their parents, we have a deficit in supply of 250,000 homes AND we have record rents AND a cost of living crisis where inflation is through the roof and there have been 10 interest rate increases in the last 12 months but SF are wrong as nobody needs help...yet when the government used the magic money tree for electricity credits that was okay🤦‍♂️

There is an old derelict cottage in Carllow, following an investigation by a FG CLLR it was discovered the cottage belonged to the recluse
William Hampton, The cottage was left to SF, SF asked the council to buy it from them and in lines with the rules the money would
go to the northern version of the party, Council refused to buy it,
The greatest forklift mechanic that ever lived ;)

"Mary Lou McDonald’s most senior official in charge of Sinn Féin’s money wants the taxpayer to buy this house the party inherited, with the proceeds going to the party in Northern Ireland"
:lol!::lol!::lol!:

That is my point, why should a couple on 100k get a months rent back?
You could make the same argument for the children's allowance, the cost of living credits etc etc . But peope on 100k also have seen their mortage rise nearly every month as well as the regular monthly bills so any help is always appreciated . I would rather they got rid of the usc tax the government brought in to pay for the shit show their buddies put the country in.

This government is incredible.
12,000 homeless.
3,000 children homeless.
Students commuting long hours for college.
Record Hospital waiting lists.
A 250,000 deficit in housing supply.
Now Leo and Mehole are turning on each other over the Covid response.
But SF are the problem🤦‍♂️
