Final midweek in Croker. While I get every player wants to get the chance to win in Croke Park, they’ll be lucky to get more than 2000 people in attendance. I think we’ll be looking at the same kind of empty seat to supporter ratio that you’d see at a PSFC game featuring 2 city teams.

Clon and Carbery Rangers are having a joint bus to Croke Park this evening. I was planning to take the train but will likely go for the bus now.

Great to see co-operation like this between neighbouring clubs. I can’t help but wonder if our club grows and reaches the heights expected that we won’t see the better players from Ross being facilitated for a transfer to Clon in return for some of our better junior players. Obviously very hypothetical at this stage but this kind of joint venture bodes well for that down the line, particularly if Ross slip further down the grades.

Best of luck to UCClon. What an achievement it would be to have 4 players winning medals.
