Sigerson

Seemed to be a first yellow for no mouth guard alright in which case it’s quite harsh but the rules are the rules and player can really only blame himself for that one.

From a Cork point of view, White was badly at fault for their goal. Flahive and Kiely were both lively and solid. Kiely kicker a super point from a tight angle. Gary Murphy came on, got a point and was really lively. If there was another Cork man playing I didn’t notice him!

This is the goal, I think its a foul, you cannot shoulder charge the keeper in the small box. Having said that White should be coming with knees and elbows up for that ball and will learn from it.

Morgan saying afterwards that its a great win for Cork football...really .four players and the Kerry lads the difference

And Cian Kiely not really involved with Cork or is he? It must be strange for Flahive and White to be winning big games after the torture they suffer with Cork.

This isn’t a good win for Cork really. The Kerry men were the hub of the team but it’s good for the few Cork men to be involved anyway. Flahive and Kiely well able to play when part of a good team.

Doesn’t seem to be much wrong with it. Nobody is claiming a foul either which says enough. Desperately poor goalkeeping that could have cost his side but for a fairly soft(but fair) red card which was ultimately the real turning point.

Are you kidding, he dislodged the ball from his hands fairly and his momentum subsequently carried him into the keeper. Nothing wrong with that.

Outfield its a perfectly fair challenge but the rules give the keeper lots of protection in the small box, just about the only way you can disposses him is to block his kick. Weve seen with Gough and other refs (ie Kevin Mc v Kerry) when the ball pops out its easy to say play on.
