Sigerson

UL very much deserved winners. The scoreline flattered UCC who were badly lacking a bit of athleticism around the middle. McSweeney from Knocknagree impressed me in previous rounds but doesn't (yet) have the mobility for senior intercounty on tonight's showing.

Disappointing from a UCClon perspective but always a proud occasion to see 4 of your clubmen tog out in a final in Croke Park. Gough, Daly and Kenneally will be in college again next year and will likely be joined by 1/2 other Clon men on Sigerson panel. I would hope we'll see more players from the other big 4 PSFC teams in there next year, certainly from the Haven and Nemo, the Barrs less so as I realise the majority of young lads in Togher don't progress to 3rd level education.

How's the bus trip home going? Have ye persuaded Santry to transfer

The inability of both sides to test the keepers was incredible. I lost count of the number of goal chances passed up. Good footballers obviously. Must be the pressure.

The only goal wasn't even a shot.

Great to see the Legend Billy Morgan still involved. Billy captained Cork to an AI win over 50 years ago.

great to see Billy Morgan the legend Mr Cork football
whether club college province and county has been in Croke Park with all teams as a player as a manager ....has lost and has won there .
How come David Buckley got no game time with UL ? He was not playing for a while i know but how is his fitness now ?

Another Clon implosion. 🫣

Well done to the three Cork lads, Tommy Walsh, Paddy O Driscoll and David Buckley all in the Cork setup, bodes well for their development, even though Tommy is an established starter for the seniors at this stage. Also good to see a Newmarket man on their mgt panel, in Luke MCcarthy, well done to him.

Hard luck to the Clon lads i mean UCC lads, never hit their potential and were outclassed on the night but could still have possibly won it with the amount of goal chances created. Daly has had a good campaign and has potential but has a bit to go yet at ic level when compared to Cian McHale from Mayo a special talent, shows where Daly needs to go to. Jacob O Driscoll will have learnt a lot marking a top level forward in Croke Park in a big game.

UL have a nice team and David Power from Tipperary has a lovely coaching CV now built up.

Daly imploded again last night as he does against the Barrs & Haven annually
