I noticed the other day that there isn't an exemption on the deposit if you buy bottles of water (or whatever you're having yourself) in WH Smith up in Cork Airport.

So, in effect, you are expected to either;

A. forfeit the deposit paid (a certainty if you are a visitor venturing home from our fair shores) or
B. carry an empty plastic bottle around with you on holiday.

25 cent too - cos it's a 750ml bottle - the sneaky fuckers.

or
c) Bin it in one of the four re-turn machines up there

this crowd are mental. There’s no unsubstantiated or deliberately vague statement they won’t make to oppose a scheme which has significant increased recycling rates.

Like I said in the other thread id tolerate this travesty if the money went into the public purse and was spent on public services like parks and amenities and grants for sports clubs etc

100’s of millions Being pocketed by a private entity is a complete scandal
