Irish Water out saying water is being used quicker than its being produced currently.

I am wondering, how much water is being used in this country in rinsing out the various drink bottles / cans, before people throw them in their bag / container for the stupid machines?

Next to none I’d say. Washing them is a complete waste of time and anyone doing it should have their head examined.

Are you saying, you don't rinse your ones ?
I mean like the Coke / Soft Drink cans / Fruit Drink bottles etc ?

Of course I don’t. I put them into a bag and when the bag is full I bring them to the shop. I’ll wash my hands if needs be after getting rid of them.

They aren’t filthy where I go. It’s simple really, place the can or bottle into the machine top first and there is no spillage.

Power washers are a leading cause of wastage, I know they're handy but I'd use them only when absolutely necessary.

My stupid cow of a neighbour does this all the time. Next time there’s a hosepipe ban and she does it there’ll be an anonymous report to the council.

You would be proud of me, last night I decided to drain the pool (the water was slightly cloudy), I connected the drainage pump outlet in to the garden hose supplying the garden sprinklers. Top recycling.

You don't need to water grass during dry spells, I've seen people do that. Water sprinklers are wasteful too, use a watering can.
