The ultimate test is whether the scheme is on the whole beneficial to the environment, from a litter pov it surely is but if lads are raiding bins for bottles then we do have a (solvable) problem.

Beyond the hallowed halls of the langer forum it seems to gaining acceptance among normal, well adjusted, civic minded people.

It shouldn't be seen as solving the bigger problem of the amount of plastic being churned out by the drinks industry.
