should chickens be allowed for christmas dinner instead of turkeys?

i cant eat sprouts, or cabbage, broccoli. kale or anything full of vitamin k. on blood thinners after a heart op and all these are off the menu for me i do miss the cabbage but not the others .

Never knew that - I'm on blood pressure meds and grapefruit is off the menu. Hadn't had it in years but really wanted some after being told that!!

Btw m8s, a goose is actually more traditional and tastes miles better
We've even cooking goose for about 15 years. it's the highlight of the meal for me but you couldn't feed a crowd on one.

There are 4 of us and it's more or less gone after Stephens day.i view this as a major upside.

2 other things are you get about 6 months worth of fat for the roasties and the massive cavity allows for a few kilos of stuffing

I thought you were going to suggest something else. Phew...

We have our last year with a believer, and I'm not certain we will have by the time we get to it.. what a pity!

We definitely enjoyed all of them and made the most of it, but I'd love to have another few of them.. nothing beats the magic of it all, happy days 🎅

Do you mind me asking what age he/she is?
Around what age is the stop believing age like?
I've a 4 and 6yo, I'm making sure to enjoy these Christmasses as much as possible.

What's this non-Santa business? There's jolly, ruddy faced, fat fellas everywhere. Don't stop believin'! Head into a pub and watch the magic reignite.

I got mine to 11 but it was a struggle with some of them. They start questioning around 8/9 but they're only sussing, still well believe. My stock response was "Do you actually think I'd spend €500 on a PlayStation for you?" For some reason that always did the trick.....

She's 11, my boy was probably 11 when he copped on, his brain is wired in a really analytical way so he figured it out as opposed to being told by anyone, she is in her own little parallel universe so coasting along unawares. All I would say to you is to be hyper vigilant about couriers arriving, anything that seems out of the ordinary. Have everything delivered to work because that is what caught us out with himself. He didn't find anything, just noticed it wasn't the usual run of it and put 2 and 2 together. But he's the same fella that undid the tooth fairy on his first tooth as well because he recognised the serial number on the fiver as it was one my dad gave him before he died so he must have memorised the feckin thing and I had nothing in my pocket so i took it out of his wallet!

4 and 6 are brilliant ages for it, full on Christmas magic incoming. Hearing Santa, hooves on the roof, checking if they ate the food left out :)
