I was embarrassed by that report on RTE 6 One, they interviewed some guy and he compared Shandon in Cork with The Eiffel Tower in Paris and Big Ben in London. Holy fuck 2 world recognised structures in 2 of the worlds most recognised cities and that dick compares Shandon with them.
I imagine the Jackeens must have had a great laugh at us.

He was dead right.

It's both funny and sad how some Cork people REALLY care about what people in Dublin etc think of us and get all embarrassed, like hormonal teenagers, when anything to do with Cork appears on de telly.
