Sex Education for Primary school....

There's not really any narrative. It's a woman who teaches the subject giving her experience.

Worth a listen
a woman who seems keen to live in the world she wants but is horrified by the world she actually lives in.
She is enraged by people trying to prepare kids to deal with the actual pornography out there in the world.

She rants on about a professer trying to create a language and structure for handling the influence of pornography.
Then the pair of screeching wagons give the game away
4 minutes in Mary creedon starts off talking about 12 year olds 13 year olds 14 year olds. but then at 6.05 announces that in fact its a junior cert issue which is 15 16 years olds. The very age when its vital that teenagers start learning how to cope with and handle these issues in a safe non sleazy environment.
then at 6.20 we have it. Mary starts screeching about it NOT BEING A PRECAUTIONARY APPROACH but god forbid the dept of education are trying to create an ethical approach where kids who are going to see it would have the tools to filter out the worst excesses and understand sexuality in a real way .
once she starts shiteing on about stopping kids accessing porn its all over.

Just say no folks.

Calm down pal it's only a teacher offering her professional opinion.

When you say lad do you mean trans girl?
To clarify, a boy now claiming to be a girl.

This individual is in a co-ed school and now wants to use the girls bathroom - still happy to play along? Simple question, yes or no?

You can't even name the book you are relying on.
That was hardly a gotcha question. I was just debating with you, I wasn't going to go wasting time rehashing things with your cheerleader. SPHE Text book chapter on relationships and sexuality.

So a trans person. Given the language you use, do you not believe that trans people exist?

I am not impacted by it so it isn't any of my business. It is a matter of competing rights. Does the trans girl wish to use the girls bathroom? Are they unsafe in the boy's bathroom? Do other girls object to them using the girl's bathroom. All of those rights need to be balanced.

It isn't a simple question, much as you would like to pretend that it is.

It isn't a debate though. You asked me the basis on which I would consider someone trans. When I answered that it wouldn't be my place to decide that, you responded by claiming that I had said that I wouldn't believe someone who said they were trans. That's not good faith debating.

Lets say it your business. This kid plays wants to switch to the same football team as your daughter and wants to use the same changing rooms. Communal showers. Happy enough with that? Any sherd of discomfort at all? Anything??

Or the kid plays on the opposing rugby team to you daughter? Physically a powerful young fella. Still all good with that? The physical well being of the actual girls is at stake. See any issue here?

These are the scenarios you want to open society up to by blurring the gender lines. Hardly reasonable to push these dangerous scenarios and say it doesn't affect me so it's none of my business is it?

I will come back to your "do you not believe that trans people exist?" query I just curious as to where you are going with this flip genders at the drop of a hat notion.

See, this is just an anti trans bogey man. No one flips gender at the drop of a hat.

I have long said that there need to be accommodations within sport to make sure that all parties are safe. If there is an issue with communal showering (not an issue in my school as we had cubicles tbh) then an accommodation would have to be found for that too.

What I wouldn't do in that situation though, is vilify the young trans person. Because that is an extremely shitty way to treat any vulnerable person, and also because it would be an extremely shitty example to set for my kids.

"Be kind to others, except if it in any way inconveniences you. In that case, vilify them rather than try to work out a solution that works for everyone".

I very much doubt that you will come back to answer my question. I think your opinion of trans people is already pretty clear though.
