We'll never find out if it's the same guy, as to do so would go against the sob story being pushed by RTE.

I suspect this story will go away fairly quickly with this new information in the realm.

If the PROC can uncover those reports then I'm fairly sure the mainstream can too. If they choose not to report it, that tells us all we need to know.

Yank bashing (in some cases literal) is quite fashionable here at the moment so stories about the horrid nature of the country sell.

If you are living somewhere that requires you to have an upto date visa then the onus is on you to dot the (i)s and cross the (t)s.

Maybe he is hoping to get a diplomatic solution by getting Irish politicians involved. I doubt they want any part of it.

Portlaoise actually has two prisons. The one that most people call Portlaoise Prison is actually the "Midlands Prison".

It really is some kip of a town. Famous for having prisons.

I had to stop there on Sunday night coming home from the Bruce concert at Slane in1985 due to a problem with the car. There was a mechanic open so we had to wait in a pub. The locals were unfriendly yokels. It seemed that Cork was another planet to the muckers!
