Ryanair,

Anyone see this new Ryanair Prime thing? It's an annual subscription and offers discounted flights and 12 (one per month) free seat allocations.
Apparently it includes travel insurance. So basically they are selling travel insurance and offering seats that they cannot sell, probably Tuesday flights or something.

They're very vague about the whole thing, which makes me think it's bullsh*t.

Also the spiel only available as a 'first come, first served basis limited to 250,000'. They would get themselves a lot more business if the add-ons they have on booking were, at least matching the cheapest prices of others. They offer parking, transfers, car hire + insurance, travel insurances, accommodation etc etc but they are bonkers expensive it's no value. What they need to do is be far more3 competitive on the add-ons and then they would truly be a one stop shop for travel.

I flew with this lot earlier. Paid an extra €13 for seat 35D, the last row on the aisle.

I get to the gate and yer one goes "oh btw we've changed your seat, there's no row 35 on this plane"

Not a whisper of a refund like. Absolute shower.

Never book row 34 or 35. As you found, if there's an equipment swap to an 737-800 you're in trouble. Seats in those rows are also narrower.

It's a good job the flights are generally cheap, because going forward I'm going to have to pay in advance for an aisle seat. The leg room on the new 737 max Ryanair planes is horrendous.
Its brutal, had it recently to italy and got off the plane with that stabbing sharp pain at the base of my neck, seriously uncomfortable because I couldn't straighten my legs at all

Coming back was a different plane, probably older.. no issues as there was a bit more leg room
