Ryanair

I was looking through their website for flights from Shannon or Cork.

They have very limited flights to different destinations in general.

It's a shame really. Most of their flights to the likes of Brussels etc are now through Dublin.

Has anyone here signed up to Ryanair Prime? All I can see is it's guaranteed travel insurance (on Ryanair travels only) but not much else for €79. I don't see any certain benefits. For example they could give members Priority Boarding, that wouldn't cost Ryanair a bean but would be seen as a perk. They have only sold 10% of the 250,000 that they were capping it at.

I thought that part of the Ryanair Prime deal was a carry-on 10kg bag and priority boarding on every flight.

What's the best backpack you can wear on a plane? Solid and will fit under your seat but be easily accessible. I've heard the Samsonite bags last decades with a bit of care.

That is the answer. The Samonite EcoDiver.

Expensive but will last a very long time.

Another great option is a Manhattan Portage messenger bag. Absolutely indestructible.* I've had mine for nearly 20 years and have take them both around the globe several times for work and on holiday.

*Can only speak to the quality of the two that I bought way back when.
