It has been confirmed by the Russian ministry, Bakhmut has been taken.
Now let's hope the people of the Donbass can rest more easily now that the fighting is over.
You mean that is they moved 2 km further to the West that means less orcs will be in Donetsk? Like your logic
Bakhmut is seized, but not under control. Look at the map
What is the measurable success of the Muscovites in that they captured the last buildings in the city? What does this change their situation compared to a few months back?
On the scale of the entire front, what does the control of the ruins of Bakhmut give them at all, other than propaganda, which unfortunately works, as you can see? Since the recapture of Izium and the elimination of the threat of the Sloviansk, this offensive is just a dull meat grinder, without much operational significance.
What are they going to do now that they couldn't do six months ago, will they continue to push on Tviiv Yar while continuing to grind their forces, or will they go headlong into Slavyansk and Kramatorsk with the Ukrainians on the flank? People writing about the Ukrainians' defeat are acting, consciously or not, as if the Ukrainian forces west of Bakhmut were to say 'oh no, we lost the city, we surrender' at this point.
The only tangible success was achieved by the goblin (le chef), because he can demand a payout from the putler if the orcs made it to the contracted coordinates.
We continue to move flanks on the outskirts of Bakhmut and approach the tactical encirclement of the city. Thanks to this, we will be able to control all buildings occupied by the enemy and destroy them successively - General Syrski
Prigozhin summarized the Bakhmut operation and UA losses:
- 57 thousand KIA
- 85tys WIA
- 10 thousand pieces of equipment
It is difficult to comment on this. As for these values, frankly the number of dead is correct as much as for the WHOLE FRONT from the first day of the war. These numbers of destroyed vehicles are some kind of curiosity. 10,000s was all the civilian cars in Bakhmut before the war, so it is possible that Wagner counted as enemy equipment burned tanks and burned wrecks of civilian cars on Ukrainian plates which could not be transported with the evacuation of civilians.
Let us read what russian Girkin aka Streilkov says about this magnificent success. After all he is one of the leaders of the orcs since 2014
I only put it via translator, nothing changed, his own words I am not giving links as it is unsafe source, but if anyone interested, it can easily be found on telegram
PYRRHIC VICTORY...
So Artemovsk (Bakhmut) was taken. The jubilation is such that the president of the Russian Federation himself congratulated the Wagner assault squads, as well as all the members of the Armed Forces units that provided them with the necessary support and cover on their flanks, on the completion of the operation. All those who distinguished themselves will be presented with state awards, according to the Kremlin press service.
Victory? Absolutely! Together with the entire Russian world, we pay tribute to the courage, stamina and bravery of our soldiers who were thrown into frontal assaults on the well fortified positions of the Ukro-Fascists, and who were able to "grind" the enemy and win. The Russian soldier was and still is the best soldier in the world.
Now let's get emotionless and strictly on the facts.
1) The battle for the unfortunate Artemovsk lasted 224 days, more than the entire Battle of Stalingrad. But if Stalingrad led to a turning point in the entire Second World War, the battle for Artemovsk became another mini-Verdun in the style of World War I without any strategic result for the Russian side. Artemovsk has absolutely no strategic value, which was openly stated not only by Igor Strelkov, but also by the head of the Vagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin himself.
2) The enemy defense is not broken through. No keys to Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Dnepropetrovsk have been given to the destroyed provincial town, because the Ukro-fascists have already erected new defensive positions, which again will have to be stormed with inevitable heavy losses. The very method of fighting also raises questions: "Meat assaults" in the head, instead of the classic encirclement and encirclement.
3) Fans of the strategy of "milling" Ukrainian fascists (which was indeed observed in Artemovsk) should not forget that in the same way our best assault infantry, which, without a doubt, is the Wagner PMC, was "milled" in frontal attacks. That is, the defensive battle in Artemovsk was primarily beneficial for the Ukrainian fascists, as it pinned down the most combat-ready Russian forces on the Ukrainian front, "sucked" out our huge stock of ammunition, and led to heavy losses. As a result of the results of the battle we have: "shell starvation" continues, the troops are exhausted by losses and months of fighting, and PMC "Wagner" is removed from the front for re-forming, thereby weakening the grouping of the Russian Armed Forces right on the eve of a full-scale enemy offensive.
4) Undoubtedly, the "Battle for Bakhmut" has transferred the head of the Wagner PMC from the category of frontline commanders into a politician with serious presidential ambitions. But why should our Russian soldiers pay for it with their lives and blood? Prigozhin demonstrated his true attitude towards his subordinates with famous photo shootings with dead Cheka fighters, which became the necessary background for another attack on the Defense Ministry and spinning his own image.
5) Artemovsk again revealed the systemic problems of our state, the army and the military-industrial complex: shortages of supply, lack of unity of command, public "showdown" between the Ministry of Defense and the illegal from a legal point of view, PMCs. All this leads to a logical question: do we have a state at all, and why it has lost its monopoly on the leadership of war and violence?
