Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

I think you will find his reasons for invading were quite clear to put an end to war in the Donbas going on for 8 years now.
Russia had troops in Donbas for eight years, helping the insurgents. About 500 were killed. But while we are on the subject of Russia’s support for national liberation movements, tell us about Chechnya. 😂

Anyhow, I thought Russia wanted to conquer Ukraine in order to replace the fascist government and incorporate Ukraine into the Russian empire.

It’s so hard to keep up with the weekly rationale.

In other news, Russia has criticised what she sees as US and Western expansion into Asia Pacific, for those who don't know or who stay blind the West is looking to set up an Asian NATO. You can only imagine what that means, more build up of militaries and like retaliation from adversaries of the US.
😂

Since Russia has made an unprovoked attack against a non-NATO country, while leaving the NATO countries alone, one can see why other countries close to Russia might want to organize a mutual defense pact. They seem to work.

“wEsTeRn eXpAnSiOn iNtO aSiA pAcIfIc”. 😂 It would really do you well to pick up a book or newspaper once in a while. There are a number of Asian PAcIfIc countries already aligned with the West and have been for over seventy years. Or is your demented idiot Putin suggesting that the US is going to recolonize the Philippines and reconquer Japan while Britain takes back India and Pakistan?

While I don't agree with Russia's decision to invade Ukraine, Putin made it clear he was doing it to stop the violence in the Donbas which are pro Russian which by the way they want to stay.

MOSCOW, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Russia has "no need" to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, its defence minister said on Tuesday, describing media speculation that Moscow might deploy nuclear or chemical weapons in the conflict as "absolute lies".
"From a military point of view, there is no need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine to achieve the set goals. The main purpose of Russian nuclear weapons is to deter a nuclear attack," Sergei Shoigu said during a speech at an international security conference in Moscow.

"The media are spreading speculation about the alleged use of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in the course of the special military operation, or about the readiness to use chemical weapons. All these informational attacks are absolute lies."

Shoigu also alleged Ukrainian military operations were being planned by the United States and Britain, and that NATO had increased its troop deployment in eastern and central Europe "several times over".

Referring to the New START Treaty to control U.S. and Russian nuclear arms, Shoigu said talks to extend the treaty were "a two-way street", and the situation around it was "difficult".
"A difficult situation is also developing with regard to the Treaty on the Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms. The agreement remains in force until 2026," Shoigu added.
"On the Russian side, obligations are being fulfilled, the declared levels of carriers and warheads are maintained within the established limits."

Good news for anyone worried about WMD being used.🙂
Putin also said the army were on military exercises and had no intention of invading Ukraine, how did that play out?

For what's it worth I don't think he will use nuclear weapons, but it wouldn't surprise me if at some stage it becomes clear he can't win and he is looking for a way out, that a "rogue" missile might destroy one of the nuclear power plants and give him his out., which depending on the fall out could be worse than using a WMD.

He tells his people the Ukrainians did it and he saves face among the Russian populace. Don't think he is not desperate enough not to do such a thing.

Putin believed his own horseshit. He genuinely believed that his military was technologically advanced.
Russia’s economy was the size of Italy’s at the start of the war. He’s a small time stone cold loser.

😂 Yeah. The Chechens were pro-Chechnya and Putin killed several hundred thousand of them.

And no, Putin didn’t start the war with that particular story. Also, Russia CONTRIBUTED to the violence the whole time. Maybe he should have invaded himself.

There is also an article in the BBC saying Jews are quitting Russia, sounds like propaganda for two good reasons.

  1. Jews are not persecuted in Russia.
  2. Jews have been migrating to Israel since the collapse of the Soviet Union so Russian Jews migrating to Israel is nothing new.
As you can see there is propaganda on both sides of this war.
You can do better than this.

Putin has turned Russia into a shithole country that people want to get out of. Unfortunately, a Russian passport isn’t going to get one a warm welcome except, possibly, in a few other shithole countries. But if one is a Russian with a Jewish background, they can easily enter Israel even with a Russian passport.

So no propaganda at all.
