A lot about a lot depends on how the yanks react to voter suppression in the mid term in November.

Unfortunately they've shown themselves to be a bunch of fannies thus far so the war on Ukraine and other problems are here to stay for the foreseeable future.

The big problem is that Putin cannot afford peace. When the tide of war goes out the little Tsar will be shown to be naked !

I believe that Europe are trying to keep the US on board as long as possible. If it comes to the point where Trump makes the break or gives Ukraine an ultimatum to accept whatever shitty "agreement" he has with Putin, I'm expecting Europe to stand with Ukraine and tell the US no, that's not going to happen. If they don't, Europe is goosed at that point.

As long as Ukraine is funded and increasingly receiving weapons from Europe, they can prolong the war and continue to bleed Russia out economically with increased sanctions, as well of course Ukraine hitting Russian oil and gas networks.

I think the one year time frame is optimistic.
