Putin will have big problems when he stops his "special operations. The "coffin money" has created a mini boom in the poorer parts of Russia and this with the cost of the war has rapidly depleted government resources. Interest rates are at 21% and banks are only giving money to companies with Government contracts. All others cannot get or afford capital so no investment in the rest of the economy. Many of the banks will be insolvent when the capital flow from the war dries up. If oil remains at C 50 dollars Russia cannot make any money from energy at this price and OPEC now putting the boot in. Putin is caught between a rock and a hard place. Ukraine should keep hammering his oil facilities

Chancellor Merz, President Macron, PM Starmer, Sec Gen Rutte & President Stubb are all highly experienced statesmen with a clear understanding of how to counter Ru and assist Ua. Pres Zelinsky's frustration is understandable as the missiles & drones hit his cities and the Orange Ape plays at being a world leader with his inane tel calls to Putin but he's better off not calling out US - it achieves nothing.

They have 3.5 more years of total frustration in dealing with the Orange Imbecile. He responds to flattery and bribery and the latter isn't an option.

It's very unlikely that Orange Ape will further sanction Russia or step up military support - the best ways of forcing Putin to the table.

Ultimately we may need to increase sanctions without the US on board but other than that we must develop our military industrial complex and hope the US will sell military equipment and continue intelligence transfer.

Without Trump/US it may take an extra year for Ru to implode economically. The meat grind and genocide will continue until Putin cracks - we really are guessing and hoping that happens within 24 months.
