Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

The last days of Washington's diplomatic initiatives are beginning to resemble 1972. The US negotiating with Putin to end his aggression against Ukraine is a repeat of Nixon and Kissinger, who negotiated with the aggressor North Vietnam (to the exclusion of South Vietnam) so skilfully that they led to the annihilation of that South Vietnam - for which the latter received the Nobel Prize

Told you from early on this would happen.
Thrown under the bus by Yanks.

French President Emmanuel Macron is inviting European leaders for a summit in Paris on Monday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said Sunday.
The "main European countries" will meet Monday in the French capital to discuss European security, Barrot told France Inter. He insisted that such meetings are held frequently and that it should not be "dramatized."

Barrot didn't give details or say which leaders have been invited to the short-notice gathering.
It wasn't clear if the Paris meeting would involve all European Union leaders, or only a smaller group of countries, and if other European leaders would also be invited. Germany, Italy, Britain, Poland and Denmark appear to be invited.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer indicated late Saturday that he plans to attend the emergency summit, according to media reports. Starmer said Europe is at a "once-in-a-generation moment for our national security."

Polish Foreign Minister Rados?aw Sikorski talked about the planned Paris meeting at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, saying his country’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk will be heading to Paris. Sikorski said he expects the crisis meeting to discuss the challenges posed by United States President Donald Trump.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is scheduled to meet with Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, on Monday in Brussels.

Plans for the informal summit come after a week that saw Trump hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin about peace talks over the war in Ukraine, and an announcement of a face-to-face meeting proposed to take place in Saudi Arabia.

Trump officials are heading to Saudi Arabia in the coming days to start the talks. The EU hasn’t been invited to the negotiating table. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials aren’t aware of any talks and no delegation is traveling to Saudi Arabia.

"It's clear Europe must take on a greater role in NATO as we work with the United States to secure Ukraine's future and face down the threat we face from Russia," Starmer said, according to the media reports.

Zelensky apparently got some info that in case of the new elections Poroshenko will win with a huge margin, so he pushed some sanctions against him in their parliament. Here is the response of Poroshenko:

It says:
"Today Zelenski has dealt a colossal blow to the internal unity that our team has strictly adhered to since February 2022 and which is our main weapon in the fight against the aggressor. The entire responsibility for the negative consequences falls directly on him. Responsibility for completely ignoring the army's problems for the first three years of his presidency because "otherwise there would be nothing to build roads with". Responsibility for ignoring all allied intelligence about an impending invasion five months before the invasion, for failing to prepare for war, for failing to prepare the army and the country, for hiding information about everyone's security from the people. Responsibility for corruption during the war, corruption in conditions where the military critically lacks the equipment to fight and defend our land. Corruption on the basis of great blood. He is looking for someone to blame for his tragic mistakes on. That is why he has launched a campaign of accusations against our Western partners. It is why he ordered the imprisonment of military commanders. At the end of the sixth year of his presidency, it is time to answer for himself rather than blame everything on his predecessor. There are more than enough questions. And there is no doubt: the Ukrainian people will ask them all. "
They had nothing to cling to, they clung to the coal trade with DNR/LNR. How is that different from trading gas and oil with Russia? I do not know.

Is Poroshenko a Putin stooge?

RUSSIANS RUNNING OUT OF STEAM?

Ukrainian forces have recaptured a village on the frontline in the country’s east, amid signs Russia’s advance may be slowing down and as Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his call for the fighting to end “with a just and lasting peace”.

On Sunday, Ukrainian forces took back the village of Pischane, south-west of the city of Pokrovsk, military officials said. Russian units had made rapid gains in the area in December and January, seizing a string of settlements and threatening to cut off Pokrovsk.

Since early this month, the Russians’ progress has stalled. Russian bloggers say Ukrainian drones dominate the skies and have been methodically destroying armoured vehicles. Russian troops have to walk 10km on foot, with many not arriving alive, they say.
