Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

Catcha - what is the general state of play in Ukraine now? Seems like its in a holding pattern while they both wait for Trump and some kind of deal will have to be struck, but at the same time any gains being reported over the last while all seem to be Russian ones?

Feels like the Ukrainians are sitting there mowing down Koreans and the latest Russian ex-cons being launched forward, but not pushing forwards themselves.. then they lob a few long range missiles into Russia to hit a few energy/munition targets and await the response

Yeap, you are right it would be this exactly.

1. Not a good weather to attack
2. Everyone is waiting for first trumps actions
3. It is also peace through the escalation tactic for both sides
4. UA is striking costy ru resources, while Ru are getting a km or two a day at a huge cost to living

Thanks

I've grown fatigued with it all so reading less about the war than I would have. It also feels a bit like groundhog day with a lot of the reporting. The main difference seems to be the Russians attempting to drive forward regardless of any considerations since they dont give a shit about the value of life, and the Ukrainians sitting there preserving what they have to preserve their own soldiers.

I know the two are completely unrelated, but I have just watched Chernobyl and really hammers home the soviet mindset.. just do what you are being told comrade, because someone of a higher rank wants it done regardless of the cost of life or anything else that might occur to you. The other thing that occurred to me watching it is how much the people of Ukraine, and specifically the north/Kiev have put up with in their recent past.. tough stuff :(

My mrs worked on that, I know I'm biased, but it's some auld show, in fairness, especially considering the somewhat limited budget, etc.

The 1st communications went like this.
Chernobyl to Moscow: Reactor # 4 is detroyed and we are facing a huge disaster. You must declare emergency & provide help.
Moscow to Chenobyl: When will reactor # 4 be restored?
Chernobyl to Moscow: This is out of control and we are facing a humanitarian crisis.
Moscow to Chernobyl: Provide timeline when reactor # 4 will be functioning again at 100%.

A rather interesting video. In my opinion it is worth a moment to watch. It's an action how UA took 6 orcs captive and it's in this way pretending to be russian. This way they extracted a lot more information from them about enemy positions.

edit: yeah, there are subtitles on it :)
