Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

WOW this speech will be in history books.

Prime example of maskirovka, everything Russia is known for doing he is trying to blame West for.
Whataboutism at level our posters here could learn from.
He just claimed Western Alliance is really bad because of Dresden bombing. Fuck me, Red Army was flattening allied countries even when 'liberating'.

This is WOW

so how to understand it? Classic, simply the opposite. EVERYTHING on that speech is 180 degrees turned. Domestic speech - thats it and a an eye to their shady allies in UN. He just said 5% from grain exports goes to Third World Countries and the rest to the West. LOL But the West is on plus with food and do not need to import anything, actually the EU is destroying crazy number of food each year as we produce too much.

Putin had the most imperialistic speeches since Adolf Hitler in the Sport Palast in the 1930's.

He is just totally mad.

He also thinks that his audience in Russia is stupid.

"We will lead in anti-colonial movement in the world," he says, as he announces the annexation of Ukraine as a Russian colony.

Alt-history nonsense.

Because if he genuinely believes even half the rubbish he's saying, he's just totally delusional.

One thing for sure is that he is terrified.

Destabilise the energy market and the West as they are losing the ground war on the battlefield and their economy is in shreds.

Those customers are long gone as Russia is sanctioned as Russia is forced to sell of its energy cheaper than it costs to produce or flare it off costing $1 million+ every single day.

Russia is just a failing rogue terrorist state using energy supply as a weapon.

But what does blowing up the pipeline achieve in terms of such destabilising that turning off the pipeline, which he already has done, wouldn't? And at least if the pipeline remained intact Russia could at some stage in the future try rebuild its post-war economy they could at least turn the pipeline back on again without having to spend a fortune on repairs not to mention delay?

The pipeline was never operational and was unlikely to become so in near future. Will cost a relative pittance for them to fix if they wish to do so.
New pipeline between Norway and Poland has recently started flowing and is quite close to where explosions occurred. Russia have sabotaged their own (non-operating) pipeline with a view to blaming "mysterious forces" if (when) the Norwegian pipeline suffers a similar fate!!

"One may be tempted to ask why would the Russians bother with sabotage and denial? After all, hostility towards Ukraine and Europe is neither novel nor secret. The shutoff of gas from sabotage does not fundamentally change Russia’s stated aims or enacted strategy. The answer lies in the strength of Western financial institutions, Russia’s lack of leverage or soft power, and the devastating impacts sanctions are having against Russia. If Nord Stream is shut down suddenly through “force majeure”, a sudden uncontrollable stop that is the fault of neither party, then Russia can void its obligations towards European stakeholders without legally breaking contracts, thus dodging the many penalties in doing so." (c) Forbes

Of course Russia's useful idiots (likes of Mick and Clare) will look to blame NATO or US for the sabotage.

Thanks for that. I hadn't realised it was an inoperational one. Just thought it was one that had been turned off by the Russians.

It was like shit version of Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev speech in USSR when he was banging shoe against the stand - same language but less dramatic. No chance for even a nomination to the Oscars.

It shows the West what Russia can do as an ongoing threat to energy and data as they are getting beaten on the battlefield and sanctions are gripping tighter..

Russia is focked for the next 2 generations and its economy is in the toilet.
