Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

I see that old Boner is dragging out the nonsense that the US staged a coup in Ukraine in 2014 (does he have photos of George Soros handing out the checks to those thousands of demonstrators?) and that Ukraine has (American?) bioweapons labs (from the old Covid conspiracy archives).

Sort of scraping the bottom for conspiracy theories. Rather like the Russian conscription program.

Russia’s economy was slightly smaller than Italy’s at the start of this war.

It’s a third world regional power with an authoritarian regime and an active disinformation campaign. Maybe some people believed Russian propaganda about super weapons before the war, but nobody believes it now.

Eastern Europe cuts loose from the Soviet Union and the only country there that doesn’t way surpass Russia in standard of living is Albania (a Red Chinese client). The Russian economy by world standards is shit and instead of investing their oil wealth into continue development, they invest it in their military. To make this pass with their people they have to promote the fantasy that the West wants to conquer them coupled with a nostalgia about the Soviet Union. If they would drop their inferiority complex and enter the First World they could probably advance very quickly. But they will no doubt keep flushing their riches down the toilet as long as this corrupt administration lasts.

It says:
Russian military reporter Oleg Blokhin was reportedly detained in Syria an hour ago. A man of incredible courage, bravery, who has worked throughout the Syrian conflict on the very edge. Even if you don't know what that is, you've certainly seen it. The attack on Aleppo, the capture of Palmyra, General Suheil's "Tigers" battles. And now for some reason it has been stopped by the Syrian Mukhabarat. I really hope that our military in Syria will join the cause - many of them know Oleg personally - and our Foreign Ministry. I also sincerely hope that this ridiculous situation is resolved as soon as possible.

Meanwhile in Kremlin:

Sergey Lavrov at the UN this weekend quoted Zelensky’s 2021 TV interview where Zelensky said Russian’s or anyone interested in Russian culture, language and traditions are not welcome in Ukraine and they should get the hell out….

Well, Lavrov said ‘they ARE getting out of Ukraine and THEY ARE TAKING THEIR LAND WITH THEM’

Wow …. A top top line from a top top statesman and political operator.
