Rugby World Cup 2023

It'll just be a glorified tour then. There aren't that many serious rugby nations unfortunately.

And while there are a few bore fests the quality of the group games in rugby on average is still a million times better than the state of the FIFA WC which is mostly only worth watching from the QFs on at best

Hardly!!

Japan qualifying ahead og Germany who were beaten by Costa Rica or likes of Morroco getting to semi finals would not happen in rugny world cup.
Fiji ranked 12 beating Aussies (7) the only standout result so far unless you count England beating Argies in the borefest a couple of weeks ago.
Ireland and SA putting 80 or so point on board v Romania or French result last pm do nothhing for the sport.

Japan in the last 2 RWCs

Also bear in mind I'm talking about the group stages

Dupont fractured his cheekbone.

Still with the squad as they can sit him out until the QF which is October 13th I think.

No malice in the tackle, a red by the letter of the law but he certainly wasn't out to get him
