Absolutely and while it’s nut something I’m hugely interested in, it’s part of our heritage and many people are very interested in it. Broadcasters aren’t there just to cover the things you like or agree with.

One radio example is the John Creedon show, as for TV, there's loads of home grown programs on every day of the week, some of it is dross, but overall what they offer is far superior to the Virgin schedule, unless Love Island is your idea of quality TV.

John Creedon's programme is definitely cutting-edge, intellectual and stimulating. RTE's response to "The Ascent of Man".
