RTE should be closed down. Time to start a fresh with a new state broadcaster.

State broadcasting is an anachronism, including having to pay a license fee. And really it's not State broadcasting nor public service broadcasting but broadcasting formed to the whims and politics of its staff.

I always thought the Virgin gig wouldn't last, his style wouldn't be suited to such a commercial operation where the presenter has to fit in with the existing formula and the constant ad breaks don't allow any room for a presenter to put his own stamp on his show.

I thought he was better on the radio than the LLS where he basically made the show unwatchable with his misery slots etc.

He's down to Talksport, it might well be GB News after this.

They're going to try to replicate the real experience so they'll film it from outside the closed doors and the broadcast will stop abruptly once they go-pro it up for the bite of wafer and fuck off out the side door
