Ray D'Arcy to leave RTÉ Radio 1 after 11 years

RTÉ has announced that presenter Ray D'Arcy is to leave RTÉ Radio 1, having presented his final show on air yesterday.

rte should re-position itself as like a media training centre, they have the facilities and technicians/staff to train young folk, plus all the equipment, presumably, unless D'arcy nicked it

pay them a half-decent wage and if they later get a better offer from newstalk/red fm/virgin/whoever in the private sector then let them head off and then start the process anew with other young up and comer
