He was about twenty yards in front of me last saturday and i watched him for most of the match, as did a bunch of us yesterday. rooney and ronaldo worked their asses off. he didnt and hasnt this season. The least he could do is try
Sound said:More bollocks! Ruud drove himself into the ground trying to get on the end of things. I smell a WUM...
Lynott said:You're seriously barking up the wrong tree there mate!
Sound said:Obviously I have no idea what posters get up to in real life but I can only call it like I see it. And the fact is that anyone who was at that could game could not but fail to see how hard Ruud worked and the fact that he played well. Or coming out with tripe like 'the Scouse were mute', when the Utd fans were shouted down at every turn. FFS I was at the Anfield Rd end on the top tier almost on top of the Utd fans.

Lynott said:I was talking to a few Liverpool lads who were at the game and they said that the atmosphere was crap. They were gutted because they were expecting Anfield to let rip after their European success. It never happened. The United fans were taking the complete piss singing songs like 'This is the longest minutes silence' and the like. Its been a major talking point since the game in the papers also.
You are the only person who has claimed that it wasn't.
RvN is clearly frustrated with the lack of service. Whether he should be targeted by the fans is disputable, some do, but I tend to listen to a person if they have been to 95% of Uniteds games home and away for the last 4 years. Not just dismiss it as 'tripe'.
Sound said:To be fair, if you know the poster personally and what you say is true than I retract my WUM comment as I've only been to two Liverpool V Utd games.
But I never claimed that there was a great atmosphere. I did claim that the Liverpool fans were far from mute. And I did claim that Utd's were no great shakes. For every 'Wimbledon', 'Michael Shields is getting bummed in the showers' or 'Minute's Silence' chant from Utd fans, there was ' 5 times', 'You're not famous anymore' and 'USA'.
Both sets of supporters were far more subdued I've seen in this fixture in the past.
