Was speaking to a guy who used to be heavily involved in TROT recently. Very sound bloke. He was bemoaning the way the whole thing has gone. Lost a lot of its volunteerism and thinks its lost a lot of its charm as well as a result. Even the venue has changed and there are guys running it now as a business and taking a salary from it.

Saw a bit of it last night with the missus, the last couple of girls - one a cop from Chicago and her mother is from Cobh. Whoever thought that the camera angle they repeatedly showed her mother from was flattering needs a kick in the goolies.

The few minutes I saw of it yer man Daithi actually has a bit of charisma for an ageing kirryman but that skinny wan with bingo wings from Carlow/KK is a pain in the proverbials

Yeah right. We were binge-watching a few episodes of Hijack with Idris Elba and the Missus said at the end of one of the episodes that The Lovely Girls (her term for it) was on - I actually thought it was next weekend for some reason, it had been in my mind as I'd been talking to a guy about it recently.
Anyways she asked if I minded throwing on the last few minutes.

You know who she is? She was one of the anti vax/lockdown nutters going around with Heasmann and the Poison dwarf which was an awful pity because in fairness she did great work calling out Tusla.
