Can anyone tell me where exactly on MacCurtain Street his Grandmother's bar was (The Modern Bar I think it was called).
I found this page when I was trying to look up the answer and I must say it's a great forum and very entertaining .

It was in the recent RTE documentary that went out about 2 weeks ago.

Yes I saw that but I can't place what is there today where the bar used to be, i.e. where on the street was it.

I think that it was on the Metropole side a few doors down from Son of a Bun.

There were a good few more pubs on that side in old photos and all gone now of course but Dan Lowreys was always there as far as I know.
