Rory Gallagher Gaa coach

RG is a 100% innocent man in the eyes of the law.

He has sole custidy of the 3 kids because courts have found his ex partner to be unfit and a danger to the kids.

These are facts.

What JB said and implied about him on national tv was a character assassination.

Alternatively you could say Burns and others feel they have enough information to make an informed opinion on this. You don't need a conviction to know that someone is toxic. That's too simplistic and doesn't reflect the realties that you often see in these situations.

Ah stop now. Some of the all time great managers are/were toxic people. Being not a nice person isn’t grounds for the GAA president to go writing to clubs and talking about you on the bloody late late

Thats a solid theory and assumption. But assumptions mean f all. Lets see how the court case goes.

I've stated facts, I havn't heard any facts to back up JB's attack on RG yet.

Exactly, the list of wrong 'uns who've managed teams, club, county and even beyond the GAA is endless. We don't have to go too far from home to find a few.

This was all about Burns increasing his profile and curating his public image. His ambitions beyond the GAA presidency is obvious as is his alignment to "the cause".

If Burns' actions were well intended and really borne out of concern for anyone other than himself, he would have shut up after he sent the letter instead of going on the LLS and dragging Gallagher, his family life and his kids through the mud on national TV.

Let’s have it right Burns stuck his oar in here because it was a high profile case of an alleged assault against a woman and he saw it as another opportunity to virtue signal and bolster his credentials as an uber progressive “good guy” protector of the oppressed classes.

Curating this public image for himself has been his overriding goal in his presidency rather than addressing actual GAA issues.

Gallagher, scumbag and all as he might be, is far from the only one managing a Gaa team. He is dead right to pursue this. I look forward to Burns public apology.
Take the Fox away from discussing Cork-Clon and he makes a lot of sense. Burns strikes me as being as sanctimonious as that other Norn interloper, Mary McAleese.

Nail on the head.
