Only 2 weeks ago, I was told about a situation in a club here in Cork. A coach is not allowed by the courts to see his own children unsupervised because of abuse, but is coaching away other underage kids, his own child’s age!
Garda vetting will only pick up criminal convictions, so if there is a no contact order in a family court because of abuse then it won't show up in vetting.Interesting

Nothing is straight forward of course. It is a grey area for sure. And Rory Gallagher is right to sue Jarlath Burns, even though Burns felt he was morally doing the right thing.It's nowhere near as straightforward as that though.

If he has a criminal conviction for abuse he shouldn't pass the garda vetting...provided the club carries out vetting.Interesting
