Rory Gallagher Gaa coach

If Burns says he contacted Naas Gaa to tell them not to appoint RG because the allegations are true, Then he would be accused of been a hypocrite as he made no intervention with Kyle Hayes
Maybe he did intervene in the Hayes situation? But it just wasn't public knowledge

Anyone have any idea what Il Presidento is up to?
I’m dumbfounded tbh. Intervening in a family situation now where no complaint was ever made.
Matty, what’s going on?
The GAA I assume have ran all this by their solicitors.

Not really, as there's a conviction against Hayes.

Also, being a hypocrite won't get you sued!
There is a conviction against Hayes yet AFAIK Burns never advised Kiely not to select him, There is an allegation against RG and Burns advises Naas not to appoint him,

On the LLS, Kiety put it to him that he had chosen not to get involved in the Kyle Hayes case and asked why that. He replied saying they aren't involved in cancel culture, there is always a way back in the GAA.
Now it is quite possible he lied on national tv.

Lovely scene of Jarlath and mcmanus having a friendly chat shown on TV at today's match......€32m handed over to the gaa a few years ago as a "gift" buys you a big dollop of soft power with that organisation
The top brass like burns know you don't rock the boat or upset a big donor like mcmanus with unwelcome commentary on the Kyle Hayes case and conviction

And likewise mcmanus makes sure he got some tangible return with the appointment of a trusty lieutenant of his to an influential GAA committee that will pay off in the years to come
