Rogby football skills translator

Was he a Heiners man, Slatts? Fond memories mind, of watching the then 5 Nations in the 'front room' with the family.

Some serious damage done in that sport. I'd be slow to put any child of mine into it. The one year that my son attended when he was about 9 or so he wisely ran parallel to the action at all times. In attack and defence. Ignoring the egg diligently.

Same, with Bill McClaren commentating on BBC or Jim Sherwin on RTE
Was a totally different game back then

My dad played rugby for years and even now, he doesn’t watch it much, said that it’s not as interesting

Same with my dad. Says it's turned from a contact sport into a collision sport.

Lads, this is the Rogbish thread - there's loads of other places ye can lament the passing of the good old days, talk about concussion, or describe the layout of your house.
Rogbish or Rogger hype only.

Meanwhile, Leo Cullen today is talking about "attacking the game on both sides of the ball"

Matt Williams also gets back on the horse and writes of the need for players to be "energisers".

He also describes Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu as "the premier out-half in World Rugby" - take that GThorn, no fannying around with "arguably" for Mattie.

I've been agonising about this but I think the best thing I can do to stay just about on the right side of being a complete dick is just gently direct people to look at John fogarty of the examiner's Twitter feed.
