Robbie Keane, Ireland's top goal scorer.

I'd say he was the best player Ireland had

:lol!:

I'd say he was the best player Ireland had he was great in the major tournaments like World Cup 2002. Up there with all the great players in sports history incl famous Irish soccer teams & in World football. He also was a great coach. The two clubs he managed won their respective leagues, you might disagree with the politics of agreeing to manage in those leagues but as a sports player he knows his stuff, he was also great in the English Premier League. Not just saying this as a Dubliner but genuniely think he was the greatest so far.
Lol, stop trying to ingratitude yourself with the locals m8.

You're Casper.

Ireland have had far better players than Robbie, who played at the very top, for top teams.

I would think Liam Brady, Giles, the Irish contingent at Liverpool were better players. But for short periods Robbie was a fantastic player.

Laurent Blanc was at Inter the same time as Robbie. Had a few quotes saying that Keane was so untrained and raw that he was unmarkable. this was not meant in the complementary sense.

He could would basically run around like a headless chicken and be totally unpredictable
