That's sad. He had a rough few years. Hatton was one of those few boxers who was universally loved imo, while he wasn't quite at the level of Pacquiao and Mayweather, he was brilliant to watch and I don't think theres ever been a fighter who could generate that level of atmosphere at a fight.

Poor aul fella. Very sad news.

He ws due to fight later in the year. No idea who. His weight balooned after retiring and wasn’t living a healthy life at all. Always came across as a normal lad thrown in with superstars. He was a great fighter though.

Well said. That fight with Eamonn Magee is one of the best I can ever recall with an Irish boxer.
