Adult cartoons must be one of the hardest genres to be successful in too I imagine.
How many can you really say have lastest the test of time?
The first 6/7 seasons of The Simpsons are the gold standard obviously but would you consider it adult? Some adult themes I suppose.
Family Guy, South Park, Beavis & Butthead, maybe Rick and Morty?
King Of The Hill is back and I'm really enjoying the new episodes but like the Simpsons more adult themes than strictly adult.
Most seem to come and go after a couple of seasons.
Am I forgetting any obvious ones?

Simpson's was grand up to about series 13/14.

After that it just got way too pc, and anything over the last few seasons now are not worth watching.

Lost interest years ago.

How Seth McFarlane gets away with the stuff he has these days is unreal. Simpson's are now so bland it'd be better to cull it.

Gervais is a genius. His TV work is amazing and his work on the circuit is hilarious. His podcasts have been fantastic too.

His success as an entertainer speaks for itself.

However he has never been a stand up. His specials are just amusing entertainment . Props and displays. Funny alright but again it's not stand up comedy in the true sense.

He is getting extremely odd but sure that's the same as the rest of us with age.

Movie rather than tv, Fritz The Cat, 1972.. Stands the test of time and very funny. Ralph Bashki is an animation genius.
