RENAME SHALOM PARK

People in Dublin tried to ReName Herzog Park. Dublin Council fobbed them off due to ' Legal issues' Cork tried (less convincingly) to get Shalom Park ReNamed. The same ' Legal Constraints" were used as an excuse. So Cork City Council, please STATE the actual Legal Constraints so we can assess them Logically and Legally. DD
Only if they rename the ENGLISH market as well...

Israel is THE Jewish State. They have been committing Atrocities, Crimes against Humanity, Genocide, since the Foundation. A Park called ' Peace' is blatantly Oxymoronic. Because of the Actions of Israel, with overwhelming support from its Fundamentalist Religious Core, they have never and will never be at Peace. Cork, Ireland, should have no links with Pariah Rogue States.

Proposal;

I suggest here and now that we petition the city council to rename Shalom Park as SummerSlam '92 Park in honor of one of the greatest wrestling events witnessed in the 20th Century.

An event that culminated in Bret "Hitman" Hart fighting for the Intercontinental Title against his own brother-in-law "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith.

Why, you ask? Well... there was a deep rift in that family which led to Hart and Smith battling tooth & nail culminating in the pair of them trying to destroy each other - causing hurt, pain and anguish on both sides.

Sound familiar?

When Smith beat Hart - the Canadian Sharpshooter practitioner would not shake The Bulldog's hand (paw?) - until eventually seeing that peace was the right path and embracing his estranged muscle-bound brother (in law).

Proving that even the deepest of rifts after the greatest battles can be healed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Addendum;

Bret Hart couldn't find Smith to practice for the match with him. Smith spent several days leading up the main event smoking crack with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.

This may also be submitted to the city council if more compelling evidence is required.
