Recommend a recording studio

My band are hoping to get 2 tracks recorded within the next month or 2. Can anyone recommend a decent recording studio around the Cork city area? We'd be hard rock/grunge and obviously want to work with someone who knows what they're doing.

Any links to the final product from anyone who has recorded in Cork would be appreciated.

You should get onto the lads in Hope Is Noise.

Their last two records sounded pretty good.

Or Ian Whitty, his "Lucky Caller No. 9" sounds excellent too.

I know Ian Whitty's record was mastered in the US but I'm not sure where here recorded it.

You're welcome to try us out at Carrig Sound (Douglas, Cork City).

Book in for a Pre-Production Meeting, where you'll get to see the 2,000 sq ft of Recording Studios, meet the Sound Engineer & hear recordings we've done.

These meetings are completely FREE OF CHARGE and give you the chance to discuss exactly what your wishes are for your project. You're under no obligation to use us afterwards, and we'd always recommend you visit every studio you're considering BEFORE booking, to see and hear exactly what they can offer. The other reason we hold these meetings is so we can give you an accurate price (impossible to judge without knowing exactly what you're after) with no hidden extras.

Have a look at our website: www.carrigsound.com and give us a call to arrange a meeting: 086 166 0338
