Rebels online

The quality of the Bride Rovers v Castlelyons game was poor. The camera was a good bit behind the play all through. Very frustrating.

Yeah, it was hard to watch! Got a bit better as the conditions improved

Yesterdays game was a cracker though!

I think they have epitomised my issue with this service at the moment. On Sunday they will be showing mallow vs muskerry in pairc ui rinn. It’s the only game they’re showing which would be fine imo if it wasn’t a double header there. They could so easily show mitchelstown vs Gabriel rangers before it and have everything set up and ready for the next game then. On top of that I think more neutrals would be interested in the game not being shown as opposed to the mallow muskerry game.

I feel like the amount of games has reduced this year. It used to be good value but I’m not sure I’ll renew next year.

Indeed it’s a good service if they’d just show more games and better matched games. The senior football games they’re chosen to show thus far have been pathetic games and looked that way on paper too.

The probably don’t show enough from grades below and often just pick the game to show based on the handy venue. And yet we were deprived of Castlelyons and Na Piarsaigh being shown Saturday night despite it being on in PUR and no other game on at the same time. Hard to make sense of the games shown and lack of games shown.

Otherwise it’s pretty good in terms of quality, commentary and analysis.

To be fair to Rebels Online they have a fairly professional production and no issues with quality. Also handy you can watch it back if you miss a game. Patrick Mulcahy can be a pain but he does stay fairly neutral despite his ties to Killeagh and Imokilly. The co-commentators are great to have.

My issue is similar with the lack of games, and I would trade in Co-Commentators and a slight reduction in quality for it. Clubber manage to throw a cheaper camera up and often have one commentator. You could find a random game in a lower division on that streaming platform.
