I don't think it knew what it was trying to be. The music choice was absurd too.

The 2 lads carry it and it builds up a good bit of tension but that's it. The Michael Bay style team roll out was hilarious. Every gets a "cool" line but they all come across like dopes.

Ending is very weak also.

Watched it in a hotel room. Heard it was critically panned but I actually enjoyed it.

Spiderman 27: Electric Boogaloo.

The webcrawler, MJ, villain, blah blah 2 and a half hours long.

Tom Holland cant act for shit much less carry a summer tentpole. John Bernthal plays John Bernthal, the Hulk is in there for product recognition.

I think the main purpose of this is to set up the Xmen reboot.

The superhero formula is so stale at this point its hard to muster any kind of enthusiasm for it. Crash bang wallop its a Spiderman movie.
