Rate the last movie you watched out of 10

just watched eddington. i'll post my remarks before looking up what it was that i actually watched. i guess it's a movie in two halves, the first half joaquim phoenix and pedro pascal are quarelling during covid times in small town new mexico, the former as sheriff, the latter mayor. jp an anti masker, married to emma stone (err....) who used to go out with pp. due to covid stone's mom is living with them. stone is a semi broken person, the mother a conspiracy theorist.

lets just say phoenix gets fed up with pascal. in the second half of the movie there is shooting and chaos. i found it a bit difficult to really understand what kind of point the movie was trying to make, if any, but i typically enjoy jp's performances and the same applies here.

7/10 despite not really getting it. i will now go and read up to try to work it out.
Turned it off after 20minutes.

I got rid of it after Christmas, it’s the biggest load of shit
yeh, thinking of dropping it, apart from the odd documentary i hardly ever watch it anymore, can't remember the last time they had a good movie

i tend to use youtube premium the most as it has tons of docs plus current political stuff, music, rest is history, etc
then apple for silo , pluribus, foundation, etc
amazon prime can have some great flicks
disney+ is ok, worth it for andor alone, that was fantastic
pornhub.... for the articles of course, very illuminating

i watch rte only when there's association football on and in the summer for a bit of hurling, nothing else, it's gotten so unbelievably crap, even their current affairs output has become very poor in recent years

Agreed on Apple. Worth it for those three shows. (And Slow horses). Yeah you can stream stuff but its a pain in the hole when its skipping and you cant watch the latest episode.

Amazon is worth it for the free postage, more than offsets the subscription.
