3 sold out screenings in the Arc today says a lot about nostalgia. Now it was the art house screen 6 but €6.50 a ticket is good value.
it was lovely seeing all the families have a laugh together.
It's not a bad movie, I reckon I haven't seen it since the last time I saw it in the Cinema.
Hard to imagine quite how Culkin got skyrocketed to superstardom out of it. (I guess it was a confluence of crazy dad, this and my girl)
Yeah he was a cookie cutter cute kid but the movie is all about Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern's slapstick. They make the movie.
The traps were far more violent and painful than I remembered which was basically micro machines and paint cans, but we're in fact blow torch to the head and hot Iron to the face.
I had forgotten John Candy was in it, a role written so they could put his name on the poster.
I had also forgotten about Uncle Frank. What a fuckin Heel. very funny
And the mother. This may be a symptom of me getting auld but, what. a. ride.
