Train Dreams 8/10 on netflix

A simple story of a life of a logger in Washington more or less between the wars, A life both remarkable and unremarkable.

a lovely movie

Life was hard then it's well worth a watch but don't expect too many car chases

Home Alone.

6/10, 7 because it's Christmas.

3 sold out screenings in the Arc today says a lot about nostalgia. Now it was the art house screen 6 but €6.50 a ticket is good value.

it was lovely seeing all the families have a laugh together.

It's not a bad movie, I reckon I haven't seen it since the last time I saw it in the Cinema.

Hard to imagine quite how Culkin got skyrocketed to superstardom out of it. (I guess it was a confluence of crazy dad, this and my girl)

Yeah he was a cookie cutter cute kid but the movie is all about Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern's slapstick. They make the movie.

The traps were far more violent and painful than I remembered which was basically micro machines and paint cans, but we're in fact blow torch to the head and hot Iron to the face.

I had forgotten John Candy was in it, a role written so they could put his name on the poster.

I had also forgotten about Uncle Frank. What a fuckin Heel. very funny

And the mother. This may be a symptom of me getting auld but, what. a. ride.

It's good
Home Alone star Daniel Stern busted by cops ‘for soliciting prostitute’ in California

Daniel!

Rental Family 7.5/10

Got mixed reviews but Brendan Fraser is being tipped to be in contention for an Oscar for his performance.

I liked it.
