Keeper 5/10

A new budding relationship sees a couple venture off to the boyfriends luxury cabin in the woods for a durty weekend.

The romantic getaway soon turns to terror when the missus begins to see strange stirrings within the shadows and her reality slowly begins to crumble.

Don't mind the reviews, I thought this was a nice slow tension builder with some disturbing imagery sprinkled here and there.

When a do gooder resident of an apartment building in New York accidentally kills someone, he must rally the residents to hide the body before the cops catch him.

Crossed between Friend's and Weekend at Bernie's, can't say I liked this one especially with the score on IMDB. Too many characters with too many backstories that are never fleshed out, I just found this one odd

Predator Badlands 7/10

Dek, a runt of Yaujta, has a falling out with his PreDadtor and goes on a journey of self discovery to a planet called Genna to seek out and kill an apex predator to prove his worth to his clan. Genna, a planet where a blade of grass can kill you, Dek stumbles upon a Synth from the Alien franchise (dun dun dun) where they must now work together to traverse the deadly planet and retrieve the Kalisks spine as a trophy.

While to plot may seen generic, I thought it offered more than enough to keep you engaged for the total runtime. The actions scenes were coherent and the cgi holds up for the most part. There are also plenty of subtle nods to the Predator and Alien universes. The only annoyance was the droids personality but it makes more sense in the third act.

If I watched this as a 12 year old I would have thought this was awesome, as a 42 year old its still awesome.
