I haven't seen Sweet Sixteen. Must look it up.
He did veer away from his usual style with "The Wind That Shakes The Barley", "Land And Freedom", "Looking For Eric" and "Carla's Song".
"Sweet Sixteen" is a superb film though. One of his best if not the best imho.

Gran Turino was pretty good tooI've developed a new found appreciation for Mr Eastwood. I watched Escape From Alcatraz a few weeks back and I'm going to start working my way through his Westerns too.
