Conclave - 7/10 for me.

Kept my attention for the 2 hours. I knew there was going to be a twist but it was a bit OTT I thought. That's not a spoiler is it? Ralph Fiennes did a good job and I thought some of the set pieces were magnificent and the use of sparse colour - red and black or white and black, almost monochromatic. Wouldn't be surprised if it got an Oscar nomination for the set design or cinematography.

Conclave was next on my to see list- glad that its good after the disappointment of Kraven and Gladiator.

will watch again when it's on streaming

Really enjoyed it. A lot more than I did in the cinema.

The whole cast were decent.

Fassbender robbed of the Oscar imo. The Leo won it for the revanent .a complete pile of poo
Top reviewing there lads - I watched it last night based on the comments. Ye were right, it's excellent - Fassbender was compelling - as good as he was in "Hunger".

LOL, the Apple II gets some slating - interesting side story to nail the nerd coefficient.

Its a good show alright. Even Seth Rogan who I normally can't stand is decent. Great support cast Michael Stuhlberg (seems to pop up in everything) and Jeff Daniels.

Aaron Sorkin script so the whole thing fizzed.

Fassbender got an Oscar nod but other than that it seemed to fall flat at awards time. Deserves a reappraisal. Has aged well since.

Thought it was a really novel way of doing a bio , which are normally deadly dull A to B to C affairs.

Had a bit of a Fassbender a thon this month. Watched The Snowman the other night. An adap of the Jo Nesbo scandi crime novel adapted by the guy who did 'Let The Right One In' and 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy'.

Complete crapfest. All the tension of a wet fart and really disjointed. Read the director in interviews saying he only got to shoot about 2 thirds of what he wanted so twas a slapped together effort.

Tomas Alfredson I think is his his name, seems to have completely killed his career after two very well recieved movies

by all accounts that is one if the worst movies of all time.

I read the book years ago and it was also pure shit.

I'm not sure if it made the movie the "la reveal magnifico" in the book was one of the steamiest piles of dog shit I've ever seen committed to print

I'm fond of the Fass but he picks some stinkers. He's ripe for a late career renaissance as a proper thespian

It always amazes me how much a fantastic actor is only as fantastic as the script they have to work with. Game of Thrones, for instance. A lot of the characters who were gold in the first few seasons were offensively awful in the last few.
